Slow Cooker Chicken Marsala

I make an easy crock pot dinner that my family really likes.  If you are missing Chicken Marsala on a GF diet, then this one's for you!

Boneless Chicken Breasts, trimmed
4 Tablespoons butter
1/3 cup GF flour mix (I use Bette Hagman's GF Mix)
About a cup of Marsala wine
Milk
Water
Chicken bouillon
Dried Sage
Garlic Powder

Place the trimmed chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot in a single layer.  On the stove melt butter then add the flour to make a roux.  Slowly add some water and stir, then add the Marsala wine.  I usually would do this to taste.  Maybe a cup, maybe more. Slowly add some milk, stirring.  Allow the mixture to heat up and stir frequently.  As it thickens, add more milk or wine.  Add the seasonings to taste.

Pour this over the chicken and cook on LOW for about FOUR hours.  Any longer and the chicken can get dry!  Ever wonder why your slow cooker meats are dry?  You've cooked it too long!  Isn't that weird?  It's sitting IN liquid, but gets dry.

I hope you like this as much as we do!
